BANDS TO LOOK OUT FOR: AT THE HELM

This is the first edition of the Kill Rock Podcast "Bands To Look Out For". Every week we are going to try and add a new band/artist that we fell you need to check out. We will try and be diligent to post every thursday.

This week, we give you At the Helm. We introduced them to the Kill Rock audience on Episode 30 featuring Indie Vision Music's own, Brody Barbour, with their song Thing's That We Were Running From. They have recently released their debut EP, Second Hand.

At The Helm, located in the Los Angeles area, creates a nice blend of organized chaos with melodic charm. The listener is hooked from the first scream on the EP's first track, Get a Grip, to the final heavy hitting section on their final track, Things That We Were Running From. Bobby Horack (formally from the band Notta Bella) brings his best performance vocally on Second Hand and the music generating behind him personifies the soul of the words he is singing.
